Medical Gas Piping

Course Description

This is a certification course.  METC Certified.  Cost does not include NFPA 99C 2005 or materials.  Washington State approved for 12 hours of plumbing code continuing education.  This course has also been approved for continuing education in Oregon (16 hours code-related) and Montana (4 code credits).  Check with your state plumbing board for Medical Gas Piping certification procedures, fees, and other requirements.

Required Book: NFPA 99C 2005 - Gas and Vacuum Systems

Required Materials:

  • 6 ft. of 1-1/2" L copper tubing (uncleaned)
  • 10 1-1/2" wrought couplings with stops
  • 1 lb. of 5% silver solder
  • pencils and paper for notes and a colored highlighter
