Course Description

AM - Category 3 (4 hours industry-related):  This course is intended to help the student evaluate, design and install tankless water heater systems. The course covers tankless water heater theory; designing piping and venting systems for tankless hot water systems; hot water recirculation; a comparison of electric, natural gas and propane tankless heaters; a review of "point of use" vs. "whole building" systems; new construction and retrofit applications. Also includes pertinent related Uniform Plumbing Code.

PM - Category 2 (4 hours industry-related electrical): This course covers NFPA 70E safety guidelines for working with electrical hazards. Includes information on grounding and bonding; lockout/tagout; hazardous work areas; arc flash/arc blast protection; and personal protection equipment. Handout included in cost of course.
